Crib Goch in early Winter glory...

.... Chip and Biff doing the classic scramble up Crib Goch, Snowdon..... 10 inches of snow and no crampons or rope. This is by far the most scenic route up the mountain especially on such an amazing day. Views from the summit over to Anglesea.

When we were close to the summit we saw a couple of bikes that had been left by their owners so they could go up to the top. We spotted them quickly as they were the only ones daft enough to be up there in tights and trainers! After giving them some MuleBars and slapping them on the back and encouraging the ride hard, we went up to the windy summit and quickly made our way down the Miners Track.
Our two bikers, Claire 'Tea Cake' and Johnny 'Paclite' were having a hard time of it descending in the snow in trainers so Chip, without a word, just picked up Tea Cake's bike a carried on going down with Paclite following. Claire and I descended the rest arm-in-arm. A mini-epic.

The next day we walked up a different peak, after a small navigation error, almost 1000 vetical metres only to find the summit shrouded in mist, snow and high wind. Straight back down again, 1000 metres, to the car after the Tea Cake and Paclite episode which is better left unsaid.

Cheers Claire, Johnny and Chip. A great mini-trip!
