Hexham Rowing Regatta

The UK's largest one day rowing regatta is taking place again this year on the 5th June on the River Tyne.

MULE PEDRO GOMES GAINS TITLE OF ''2010 LONG DISTANCE NATIONAL CHAMPION''

Pedro Gomes has just won the Elite Long Distance Triathlon National Championship for the fourth time in his short career.

São Jacinto, a small village north of Aveiro, hosted the third stage of the Long Distance Triathlon National Championship over the half-ironman distances.

With a solid swim, Pedro Gomes took charge in the early stages of the biking and with a blistering fast split (fastest bike split of the day by over 4 minutes) managed to get to T2 with a 7-minute lead over the second man, giving him a comfortable margin for the half-marathon run remaining.

Pedro met with a huge crowd of spectators cheering him on as he passed the finish line, in an incredible time of 3 hours, 58 minutos and 42 seconds.

After coming third place in Porto Santo and securing a win in Lisbon, Pedro Gomes was also crowned 2010 Elite Long Distance Triathlon National Champion.

His next challenge will be competing in the European Championship in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain, where he is looking for a top 10 finish.

MuleBar fuels a Zurich to Venice challenge

Roddy Bolton and his 14 team mates have just cycled from Zurich to Venice in 5 days via the formidable St. Gotthard Pass, managing to raise a whopping £200,000 for Multiple Sclerosis.

Roddy said '...MuleBars were a massive help...'' when taking on the intense, 400 mile challenge.
