Ham Hill (Mule's work)

Myself, Lee, Ian and Tom travelled to Yeovil this Sunday for an early start at Ham Hill road race 60miles with a pan flat finish. Lee did a good job of getting me up when he arrived at my place 7am I was still asleep having turned off my alarm!

With strong teams riding including Pendragon and Motorpoint the race was fast! But for a non-climber i was going well up the hill and every time I was in the front over the top. Knowing I was going well I was ready when coming into the finish for a bunch sprint. With eight riders Pendragon were pushing the pace on the last 10km setting up the sprint for Chris Opie. I moved up the inside on the last few corners and as we came into the finish straight Opie saw me and jumped early I managed to get his wheel and had a 2nd jump to get past in the last 100m taking my third win of 2011. Lee also placed 10th unfortunately Tom having been ill didn’t manage to finish.

My team bike this season is the 2011 Felt F3 with a set of ENVE 65mm carbon clincher wheels. Feels good at speed can't wait to see what it’s like at Rutland this weekend. Hoping it stays dry! We are powered by Mule's..... Food for fire!
