App Choice - Bike Hub

Bike Hub is the UK cycle industry's levy scheme, it's run by British bicycle businesses and pays for a number of industry projects and public events.

Recently they released an updated version of their Sat-Nav for bikes app - BIKE HUB.

It allows you to plan a cycle journey, travelling on or off road and you have the option to choose the fastest, quietest and shortest route.

As well as planning an A to B type route you can plan a leisure ride, setting desired time riding or desired mileage. You can then export the GPX file, a useful feature for users of Strava.

The app works best if attached to a handle bar mount, so you can view the map and instructions as you ride. However the app also gives audible instructions, meaning it can be kept in your pocket during route guidances.

There are many other cool features like highlighting Points of Interest, under which there are many categories and you can also save favourite route maps. Finally if you are going a little "off piste" on your ride, you can download the map of your chosen route to avoid any signal loss issues that may be encountered.

The app is available across all mobile platforms.
